The terrain around the airport is relatively flat with low hills (984) to the North. The airport has two parallel runways 05L/23R and 05R/23L. Runway 05/23L has an ILS in both directions and is 13,123 in length.
12.3.6 Krasnoyarsk (UNKL / KRS)
Krasnoyarsk is the administrative center of Krasnoyarsk Territory, located in southern Siberia. Krasnoyarsk is a port and rail center on the Yenisey River. One of the chief industrial centers of Siberia, the city has shipyards, a huge hydroelectric facility, and factories producing farming and lumbering equipment, chemicals, forest products, aluminum, cement, and textiles. Population 1,122,874 (1995). The airport has two runways 11R/29L and 11L/29R. Runway 11R/29L is 12,139 in length and has an ILS instrument approach to each end. Runway 11L/29R is 5,906 in length and has an ILS instrument approach to 29R. There is terrain to the South of the airport (1900).
